Dr. Moore
Dr. Maggie Moore has always loved animals and knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian since elementary school. She went to college at Virginia Tech, where she studied Biology and Animal & Poultry Science. Dr. Moore then went on to earn her veterinary degree from Virginia Tech in 2007. She worked at a busy multi-doctor small animal hospital in Virginia for four years. She moved to St. Clairsville to become the owner of Kindler Animal Hospital in 2011. Her professional interests are small animal internal medicine, preventative medicine, and behavior. Her interest in behavior led her to obtain Fear Free certification in 2020.
Dr. Moore and her husband Jackie have 2 American Hairless Terriers named Tucker and Teddy. They also have a Pitbull mix named Lena. Animal control officers in Virginia found Lena when she was just a 4-pound puppy. She had been abandoned near some railroad tracks and had extensive chemical burns along her back. Dr. Moore treated her for her injuries, and she has been a member of the family ever since. When Dr. Moore is not taking care of her patients, she loves watching sci-fi shows, especially Star Trek, Doctor Who, and Futurama.
